Field trip to the Cement Ożarów (CRH Group)
On 5 June 2024, as part of a teaching course, under the supervision of Paweł Bogacz, PhD, Eng., University Professor, a group of students from the RaVeN programme took part in a field trip to the Cement Ożarów (CRH Group)-one of the largest cement plants in Europe.
The visit to the plant took place over a full working day and included an introductory presentation and health and safety training, a tour of the marl quarry, a detailed presentation of the production process, including a plan to reduce GHG emissions, a tour of the central control room, and a presentation of the SAFS plant, mills and alternative fuel plant, as well as a presentation on internships and apprenticeships.
On the way back, the group also visited Sandomierz.
